Resilience for Helping Professionals: How can we, as helping professionals, most effectively serve others while maintaining our own well-being? I offer trainings that draw on positive psychology, the science of resilience, and the evidence base on self-care to support helpers in avoiding burnout and maintaining a personally rewarding career.
Research suggests that for best results, resilience-based interventions should do two things: provide skills and support to individual employees (for example, through trainings) and also make changes at the organizational/institutional level (for example, through changing policies and culture).
